Job Description

The Audiology Department in Tampa is seeking a Full Time Audiology Assistant/Front Office to work 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. This position manages all front office processes and assits Audiologist as needed. Medical front office experience is required. 


  • Prepares e-chart prior to visit
  • Assist traffic at front window
  • Completes patient check in processes
  • Prepares referrals and obtains authorizations for appropriate patients per provider
  • Assists patients and providers at the conclusion of the patient’s visit
  • Collects and processes monies due
  • Addresses Intergy tasks in a timely manner
  • Completes the end of day processes
  • Scans all Patient Demographics (DVFs) into the system
  • Answers phones and assists callers
  • Scans all medical record documentation into IEHR utilizing company approved cataloguing system
  • Scans incoming medical records, daily work, and paper charts into IEHR

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Marketing phone calls and scheduling events as needed
  • Mail marketing material
  • Maintains an organized and clean work area
  • Places phones on and off service at the appropriate times
  • Directs incoming faxes and mail to correct staff members
  • Participates in maintenance of front office supplies
  • Sends and accepts special deliveries (UPS, FedEx)
  • Assists with mail acquisition from Carrollwood office
  • Transmit vendor invoices to associate director
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned


  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Strong team player
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Medical front office experience is required

Physical and Mental Demands:

  • Normal physical ability; able to sit for long periods
  • Normal concentration and normal complexity of decision making
  • High level verbal and written communication skills
  • Above average ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously


Occupational Exposure:

  • Low risk exposure to bloodborne pathogens and chemical hazards
