Accounting Intern (USF Students Only)

Department:           Accounting

Job Summary:       We are looking for a motivated future accounting professional to assist in both daily accounting duties, as well as special projects related to healthcare finance.  We have a fast-paced environment that is both challenging and rewarding to someone who wants to learn.

Reports to:             Accounting Manager

Shift:                    10-20 Hours / Week

 

This opportunity is for University of South Florida students only.

 

 

DESCRIPTION:

Florida Medical Clinic, P.A. is a multi-specialty physician practice headquartered in Zephyrhills, FL. This position will be located at our Administrative building in Land O Lakes, FL. We have a fast-paced environment that is both challenging and rewarding to someone who wants to learn.

 

Essential Fuctions of the Position:

  • Support the Accounting team with various projects and month-end close responsibilities.
  • Become familiar with accounting software
  • Assist with bank reconciliations
  • Use Excel software to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of tasks
  • Assist with our fixed asset accounting process
  • Complete special projects as needed

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Must be extremely detail oriented with strong attention to follow-through
  • Communicate effectively in both written and verbal form
  • Flexible in work functions and duties
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in managing large amounts of data and ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, pivot tables, etc.
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • PC proficiency and strong skills in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PPT, Excel), is essential
  • Junior or Senior at the University of South Florida with a minimum 3.0 GPA
